A week has passed since moving into the new SÉOLA Atelier studio.
The past few months have been filled with boxes, logistics, measurements, paperwork, and an endless search for the right space. After spending the last six years working from home—and building SÉOLA Atelier from my dining table, spare rooms, and small corners carved out of everyday family life - walking into a dedicated studio each morning feels both familiar and completely new.
What I notice most are the windows.
The light changes throughout the day in a way I haven't experienced for years. There is space to look up from the bench, watch the weather move across the city, and feel connected to something outside the work itself. It has made the days feel different-slower in some moments, more focused in others.
For the first week, I've mostly been nesting.
Finding a place for tools. Rearranging shelves. Deciding where materials should live. Making coffee. Moving things around again. The kind of small rituals that slowly turn an empty room into a workspace.
And somewhere in the middle of all that, something unexpected happened.
Ideas started appearing again.
Not because I was forcing them, but because there was finally room for them.
The past year has been filled with practical decisions - running a business, producing orders, searching for a new home and studio. Creativity was still there, but much of my energy was directed elsewhere. Now, settled into new surroundings, I find myself sketching again. Looking at shapes differently. Thinking about new collections and future projects with a sense of excitement rather than obligation.
The studio already feels like more than a place to work. It feels like a place to think.A place where new pieces can slowly take shape.
If you would like to visit SÉOLA Atelier, studio appointments are now available to book online. Whether you're interested in trying on pieces, discussing a custom project, or simply seeing where the jewellery is made, I would love to welcome you into the space.
You can book a studio appointment through the website.
Thank you for following along as this new chapter begins.
