Entre éclats et reflets - SÉOLA atelier at Bref

Entre éclats et reflets - SÉOLA atelier at Bref

This winter, SÉOLA atelier joined the exhibition Entre éclats et reflets at Bref in Montreal - a show that gathers artists and designers whose work plays with light, reflection, and surface.

The title translates loosely to Between glimmers and reflections, and it immediately felt like a language that resonates with SÉOLA atelier.

Silver has always been about light.

Not the kind that shouts, but the light that shifts as the day moves. A ring catching the sun on a winter afternoon. A soft reflection on brushed metal. A surface that changes slightly each time it is worn.

Being part of this exhibition felt natural for that reason. The pieces sit among objects and artworks that all share a similar sensitivity to material - ceramics, design objects, and artworks that respond to light in subtle ways.

What I love about Bref is that it is not only a shop but also a small evolving gallery space where different artists and designers meet through themed exhibitions. It creates a conversation between materials, practices, and ideas.

For SÉOLA atelier, it is always meaningful to see the pieces outside the studio - placed in new environments, next to other artists’ work, and encountered by people who may not yet know the brand.

The exhibition runs from February 12- March 22, and if you are in Montreal, it is worth stopping by to experience it in person.

Light, shine, silver - quietly reflecting the language of SÉOLA atelier.
